Has anyone had Mepolizumab - just wondering about the outcomes and waiting times.

My husband is due to be seen at Nottingham and were not sure of waiting times.

It gained approval by NICE in 2016 so you should be able to get it after confirmation of eligibility in terms of where you husband is on the care pathway (used for severe refractory asthma); it's only given under supervision by a respiratory specialist. Reslizumab is a (cheaper) alternative which may be offered.

Hi thanks or this information.

He has been referred as he ffits the criteria but seems to be a waiting game after we were told he would have it in January by the local team, we now have been told hes on a waiting list at Nottingham City. I just wondered I anyone else had any idea of waiting times. I am now in touch with Nottingham and they said they will be in touch. Just a little frustrated as he is not well and were a bit desperate.
