Hi Graham,

had mine 18 months ago. Never had any indigestion problems but recently getting some symptoms so I take donperidome now and then when necessary. As time has gone on I think I have become more "casual" about eating and find that I really need to concentrate on chewing well, sitting upright etc. more. Luckily mine doesn't last for more than a few hours and the donperidome generally sorts it out. Goes without saying really about talking to your GP..........:)

Yes can be common.I get it especially when eaten too much.Only get it for a day at a time.Mayt be worth a mention to doctors. Is it indigestion or acid reflux as gp can prescribe medication

Dear Graham

Is this a recent thing? If so, try and think what might have changed in what you eat.

Keep a food diary, including the amounts, and try and be really systematic to work out what does, or does not, cause you problems.

Is it a constipation problem?

Do you get 'dumping syndrome' with it? - Have a look at the answers to the question 'Is this dumping?', and have a think about low glycemic index foods

A specialist Upper GI dietician would be able to give good advice.

Sometimes, also, there comes a time when the surgeons have done their job, and the problems start to enter the remit of the gastroenterologist. So asking the specialist nurse if there is a gastroenterologist who is familiar with Upper GI surgery issues might also be a good idea.

I hope it clears up.

I've found Kolanticol Gel available from the chemists very beneficial. Its only an indigestion remedy but a lot better than the usual stuff. Apparently it has a very small amount of silicone in it which gets rid of wind which can be the pain of indigestion.

Its not cheap but works for me. Your doctor can prescribe it for you. Hope it works for you.
