Hi Jony,

You may need to expand a little by what you mean by seeing bad images of death.

But yes, for some people with OCD they do experiences images or thoughts of bad things happening to people they care about.

If you can perhaps explain a little more about your experience, I am sure others who have experienced similar can offer you their feedback too.

Kind regards,

Ashley

I have terrible thoughts about hurting my family or other people hurting my kids also I have been stood next to a stranger whilst crossing a road and thought " I wonder what would happen if I push this person in the road" I would never do it or hurt my family so I feel guilty and for a long time I thought that I was a bad person until I got help from my doctor who put me on antidepressants and listened to me and reassured me that it was my ocd causing the thoughts and not "me" I know try and think of a positive thought when I get the bad ones but it is difficult xx

Oh I can sympathise with your comment about punching some one , I have had my share of these awful thoughts, it feels like an overwhelming feeling of tension so difficult to describe to anyone as they would think you are mad. I am now 75 and have been tormented by these thoughts for so many years. It was only when I was watching a TV programme about OCD when the doctor started talking about the intrusive thoughts that are part of OCD that I started to think that I was not really mad. I then discussed it with my doctor who sent me off to see a phychiatrist who confirmed OCD.

. OH was I relieved but although I take medication Citalopram which helps it is always there.

I can't believe I just read this ! My ten year old has told me what she sees when the room turns dark!!! I have 2older children with severe OCD ! What images do you actually see? My girl said she see herself breaking her close cousins neck over her knee! Is this the sort of thing your talking about? I'm gutted as I thought she didn't have any sub-cat OCDs
