Gabapentin ....any good?

Gabapentin.....what's your experience of this medication.....????

I've been on Gabapentin, and while it can work for some, and is oddly registered and prescribed for depression, not just neuropathic pain, restless leg syndrome and certain levels of seizures.

I can't say my experience with it was a good one at all. My doctor had to submit what's called a "Yellow Card". This is a report which not only goes to the health board, but primarily the manufacturers of the drug so the side effect can be investigated, then added to the advice sheet that gets included with the prescription.

For me personally, Gabapentin loosened my teeth from the gums. I ended up losing 5 teeth and still have two loose ones.

I'm "not" saying that you'll have the same experience as me, plenty are. using this drug successfully, just please, please, if you do decide to go ahead using it, you do make sure that you do monitor your condition for any changes, no matter how small, and let your doctor know as soon as possible so you can be taken off it if necessary,

I'm not intentionally trying to scare you, you may have no problems with it at all, I'd just prefer you be safe on it

Been on Gabapentin over 3yrs now, no side effects whatsoever.
