Hello all, is there any point in having Ra factor rechecked after couple years? If it can appear can it disappear? Or is that impossible?

As far as I know (and that really isnt much lol} once you have RA it is yours and you cant give it back, unfortunately.

I love that answer Philip wasnt going to answer as it seemed so obvious!

Haha, not so obvious really, I was checked for Ra factor in my blood in my early 30s and totally negative! Lo & behold ten years later positive. Are u really so sure? Not too many seem to ever be re tested. I am going to ask anyway and we ll see he who laughs last may laugh longest. By the way first test was to check if had inherited , my mum wanted us checked. I know what triggered mine. Well we' ll see, call me foolish :)

once positive has appeared dont think it will disappear. sorry if i was rude.. but loved Philips answer so direct and blase... you usually surf the net so well Gina.. I was a bit surprised by you asking this queation. im pleased you are doing. / feeling so well xx

Ah that's ok, but I have never seen any evidence of rechecking r a factor. Am sure will still be there but am going to have it checked for curiosity. X
