Any one know if there is a natural product similar to pred. now on 6mg and after a fab 2 months am off the wall with fatigue, thank you in anticipation.

The problem with natural products such as plant derived anti-inflammatory products is that they are not standardised and would be dangerous to use if taken in sufficient quantities to make a difference. It is always a struggle coming off prednisone. I'm doing it now and the fatigue with each reduction is horrendous. It just has to be endured. Best wishes

Hi,I have been thinking of you having to come off pred., I hope there is something else you will be given, you come accross as being strong, please wing me some strength. Thank you for your input it all helps,

How are you doing on reduction of pred.

There is no herbal alternative to pred. Steroids are natural as your body produces them from the adrenal gland. Are you sure it's the pred making you tired and not a lack of steroids allowing your condition to flare and cause the fatigue? I always feel amazing on more steroids.

Thank you, I too feelgood on steroid but my rhumy thinks 5mg is enough, practically have to beg for lmg extra for 2 weeks or so, I cant help that this 75 yeasr old body cant take any other meds, only wish I could. How much are you allowed. Happy and Healthy New Year.

I'm currently on 22.5mg....i was on 40mg before Christmas but I've been diagnosed with stills disease after six years of doctors thinking it was sero negative arthritis. 5mg is about the amount you're body makes itself.

I'm on lots of other meds too and luckily so far have not had side effect issues.

It's very difficult but I think you need to really tell them how unwell you are. Fully admit this is easier said than done but it's worse for your body to be having a flare than taking the steroids.

I'm hoping you can get someone who will listen to you. It's no fun being knackered and unwell all the time.
