Oh that’s just gorgeous, I’ve had numerous trips to Scotland over the years, I really wouldn’t mind retiring there. The people are lovely and the scenery, wow. I’m glad you made it and are all well. 😊👍

Retiring to Scotland was always our plan when we holidayed there but now that we're nearer that stage we've decided that staying where we are is more practical - wonderful place, though ❤️

I agree.

The person I used to be before things like RA, and personal issues knocked the stuffing out of me, I would have been up for the challenge of a new life. But now at 60 and going through an acrimonious divorce process, selling my home etc, and the threat of yet another flare around the corner, needing to be near a hospital and loved ones.....I have lost my va va voom somewhat.

But in the back of my mind I still dream of living in the beautiful highlands one day. 😊 💕

Yes, our various health issues have made us realise that sticking with our excellent GP, hospital and pharmacy are actually more important than the romantic ideal of living in the middle of nowhere!

Thank you for bringing back some very happy memories of one of our trips to Scotland. I have very clear memories of Eilean Donan Castle, and of Skye itself, before heading on up for our stay at Loch Carron. It's well over twenty years ago now, but as clear in my mind as if it was yesterday. xx
