Wrist replacement

I’ve had part fusion 30 yrs ago, I’ve now been told my consultant I need right hand wrist replacement as this would be the best option due to sever pain I am having now. The full fusion does not appeal to be as the hand is so restricted. However as I have not heard of anyone who has had wrist replacement it does sound quite daunting. I would be very grateful if anyone could recommend this. I miss my gardening and other activities I would like to do. Please advise thank you.
