I am on this and have good results. You usually have an infusion every 6 months depending on your blood results. It has been 18 months since my last one and only now do I feel that maybe I need another one. Good luck with yours. Keep an open mind and go by your gut feeling. Have a good day xxxx

Hi, I started RTX around three years ago with good results, switched to Truxima three months ago and the benefits are only just apparent. Give it a go, RA that is not controlled or getting the right treatment is very damaging to the whole body, as well as excrutiatingly painful. Hope it goes well.

Am on it too it’s a long day in the hospital so take a book or some headphones and a tablet with some tv to watch or something.

Am having second round in January as results can sometimes take two rounds to show full benefit.

It’s like any other treatment choice u just have to do it and see what happens.

Hi I've bee on this for past 6yrs and have it every 6-7mths. Having 1st of 2 rounds next week and agree with what's been said about taking a book or iPad to make day go guicker normally I'm there from 8-30 to 4pm. Also I take a warm cardy or warm wrap as I tend to feel cold half way through. Also I take my own packed lunch.

It's a long day cos before they start infusion bloods and wee sample are checked then cannula fitted ,paracetamol given, intravenously antihistamine for itching, then infusion starts.

You'll be ok the nurses keep a close eye on you. All the best xx

Brilliant -been on it 5 years. No side effects other than a headache on infusion day. Last infusion lasted 11 months. Now agreed with consultant to wait for a flare up
