when will it end

well last night we had rain so thought great all ice going then it froze then it snowed went out to car to take kids and could di ice it at all stuck solid even with blowers on and with di icer kids not impressed as they had to walk not to mention we not on the gritters route so blanket of ice again and stuck in the house no xmas shopping today then

I know! I walked down to the surgery and walked in the road as the pavements were so slippery with water on top of ice and refreezing in patches that you couldn't see. But each time a car came I was tottering and hanging onto the walls at the side of the pavement, despite my walking boots and ice grippers. People in the surgery were complaining that the car park was like an ice rink too. We are just not prepared for this sort of weather unlike my friend in Canada who seems to cope with an underground garage and a heater in the car so that the engine doesn't ice up.

But it looks better today we more of the ice gone and it's just above freezing here in the valley - but it will be very icy on the hills.

Warming up a bit but still bad looks like taxi into work again tonight as gave out below frezzing xx
