Good morning, I normally use a hay fever remedy as in tablet form when I get these problems and it does seem to work for me, dries it i supose lol.

Good luck in your search.

Sounds like an allergy doesn't it. Why not ask your local pharmacist. They know all about drug interactions and what would be safe to take. Or see the GP if it continues.

Hi

I stopped my runny nose by giving up cows milk as it turned out I was lactose intolerant. There are many other milks out there now, I love almond and coconut - they taste sweeter and won't work in tea, but they're nice in coffee and on cereals.

Perhaps it's time to see someone about allergies or lactose intolerance. If you have allergic rhinitis which produces a constantly runny nose, you need to get tested.

Take care

Thanks for your reply, I gave up Milk 36yrs ago but I could not give up Cheese.

It,s interesting you mention lactose intolerance because I am taking 30ml a day of Lactulose for

constipation and Piles, is there a connection between these two. Thanks for your help much appreciated.

Hi gg sounds like you have rhinitis.

I have it. Go and see your gp.

My h takes Bisoprolol. Your runny nose could be caused by inflammation of the lining of the nose resulting in irritation (nonallergic rhinitis). If you've only recently been prescribed it or taken it for a while & it's persistent I'd either make the pharmacist who dispenses it or your GP or cardio team, whoever prescribed it initially, aware as it's a rare side effect.

I tried to post this earlier but my iPad wasnt cooperating. It does sound like rhinitis. I had this for several years and people thought I always had a cold - really annoying. I went to (? dermatology) for a patch test to show if I was reacting to something. It found house dust mite and cat dander. Now I excluded the cats from the bedroom, but also used a steamer weekly on soft furnishings. My rhinitis dried up and I haven't had it since. Its worth trying to identify if you're allergic to something in the environment. I hope you get somewhere with this.

I would like to thank Sallydogsmum and all those people who replied to my query regarding a Runny Nose, very much appreciated. The problem does appear to be Rhinitis. Once again thank you all
