Similar burning pain but at the top of my pelvis. Not sure what causes it. i.e. several theories but no firm diagnosis. I treat is as part of RA's rich tapestry of aches and pains. 
hi Janet, I often get burning pain in my muscles, including my thighs.
as scouser says might be an idea to check it out with the gp or the rheumy team - my rheumy used to say "yesterday 5 people had a nosebleed, but no 2 people had the same cause :-
1 picked his nose;
1 was punched;
1 fell over;
1 blew too hard;
1 walked into a wall.
all had a nosebleed.
Hi just wondering if it's the Bursa in the thigh? Reason why I say this is, I had burning deep in side of my thigh, also it ached deep, kept me awake at night, was in both hips eventually, however, had MRI, and turned out to be an inflamed Bursa....had it removed,which helped a lot, mind you, it was so big, I have a scar 7inches long, didn't expect it to be so long.....worth mentioning it to your Gp......also if you have Bursitis,when touched, even gently, it will hurt.....Tc Jill x
Could be neuropathic pains and only a consultant can work that out as it requires tests. This bit came from my GP back in 1995 "that if it is burning it is nerves, if you can feel it, it is muscle, if it hurts on movement it is bone and joints". I thought it really funny at first but generally it is correct if simplistic.

Yes it has just recently started
It woke me up I was in so much pain. Had it now every night and day. Have bad injury in that leg also just broke it .Also have a weight problem with under active thyroid.Dont know what this is yet ??? Think possible to do with circulation....
I have it too. It's warm to the touch and tender. Going to dr. Did you find out what the problem is for you yet?
