I voted not applicable. Why? Because you asked the wrong question. Most people would not know the details of the NHS Constitution. It would have been better to ask if they know how/where to get information about it and/or whether they know it exists.

I've voted very unaware.

As I know nothing about it, were can I find more information?

I voted N/A as I assume this does not apply to Scotland???

I voted unaware for the same reasons as RA Fibro. We are still part of UK and I'm not sure why the NHS would be any different constitutionally in Scotland Bossy Boots? I know the guidelines are SIGN rather than NICE but they are pretty interconnected and are only guidelines?

I actually have sarcoid arthritis & osteoarthritis but my Rheumatologist has refused to see me anymore as he has tried all his arsenal of drugs which only made me more ill! It took FIVE YEARS on a rollercoaster of experimenting before he just gave up & sent me back to the care of my GP. Shocking I think & I am most disappointed in the system.

Damage limitation is the name of the game for me I am told. Sickening...

I answered very unaware for the same reason as RA-Fibro. How do we find out ?

I have now made myself aware as I was rather puzzled by such a strange question. I looked on the NHS Choices website.

Here is my brief translation of our rights:

To be seen within 18 weeks (2 weeks for cancer referrals) at a hospital we can choose. To see our own records without explaining why, to be treated with dignity and respect and to be taken seriously if we complain.

Responsibilities include looking after ourselves, following the recommended treatment, keeping appointments, treating staff with respect and giving feedback about our treatment.

I won't be asking to see my records for a variety of reasons, but mainly as I would not have the strength to pick up the "folder"!!
