Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma
I'm a newly diagnosed with DLBCL. I gues at this point what I have learned is that you have to be your advocate and trust your instincts. I have to talk to my employer because I want to keep working somehow but I haven't run into people that work and are getting R-Chop if you are in this situation please advise. Thank you
Hello. I was diagnosed in May2016 withDLBCL. Had 6 cycles of RChop. Was working in a school part time then but didn’t go as the risk of infection was too high.A few side effects but not too bad.
Relapsed in October 2018 with a lump on my shoulder which was removed and I had radiotherapy.
Relapsed in March 2020 with another lump in inner thigh and a few other places so went down the autologous stem cell route which happened in September 2020.
Tough treatment but at the moment feeling good and my scan in November was totally clear so I am hoping that’s the end of it.
Best wishes on your journey.

Hi, I just finished 6 months of RCHOP treatment after being diagnosed with NHL- DLBCL. After chemo, I took a week off each time and my employer was supportive. It was basically leave without pay. I’m waiting on post chemo scan and hoping for the best. I was stage 4 and it spread to my heart ventricle, lower GI tract (had two small intestine blockages/resection), bone marrow. I wish you the best of luck in your journey. Sven
Thank you Swen. I hope your situation is under control now. You got it right I was able to telework during treatment actually the pandemic made it easier. At work people were very supportive ..... my experience was that with each round my body needed more time to recover.
