MALT lymphoma is like follicular lymphoma in that it is a low grade or slow growing lymphoma. They differ in the areas of the body affected as MALT lymphoma affects the mucosal tissues that line certain organs such as the stomach. Follicular lymphoma is generally in the lymph nodes and bone marrow.
