Constipation

Anyone suffered horrible constipation and also Diarrhea on Ibrutinib? What helped.

I hope someone will see this and share experience. Constipation is rough to deal with and quite debilitating.

There maybe some information on the CLL forum on Health Unlocked (chronic lymphocytic leukemia) as this drug is also used for that condition .

He has CLL/SLL with an 11q chromosomal deletion which makes for a poor prognosis

Hi Zappymom , Sorry to hear that your husband has had to go through so much along with the side effects of treatment . I saw that you are on the CLL patients forum as well . It's a great resource for information and support and a number of people from NHL friends are on it also.

Many treatments seem to affect the intestinal flora negatively. I don't know whether dietary interventions like natural yoghurt,kefir or probiotics would be of any benefit. It might be worth exploring. Good luck with the treatment which hopefully will keep the illness under control till something better comes along.
