For anyone who needs to build or rebuild strength in their muscles and finds the gym or exercising outdoors too much at the moment, these exercises may be helpful,if okay with your doctor. They are aimed at women but would be useful for men also and can be done at home with no special equipment and at your own pace a couple of times a week. From Harvard Health:

I also suggest engaging in an aquasize class for 50+ or older individuals. I have beenough participating in aquasize for about 3.5 years and it has been very helpful at building strength and stamina. I suggest the 50+ class because it is more gentle and less strenuous but if you are able you can ramp it up to be a little more strenuous workout.
