Sweat and chills

I've been in remission with MCL for three years. Have had night sweats ongoing. The last couple of weeks during the day I have alternating hot sweaty moments, then chills and cold. Think I should call the doc or is this normal? Next check up not planned until April.

I'm 62, a woman, diagnosed five years ago, treated with rchop and rituxan follow up.

If they are the night sweats that cover feet to head, I think you should go for a blood check.

I agree you should get checked out better to be safe than sorry. I read night sweats are a sign of relapse for some 😊Hopefully not!

Hi. I also have MCL, enrolled in a trial of Rituxan/Revlimed, remission for just over a year. I've found that lately I also have occasional chills/sweats during the day. My care team seems to think this is normal.

Thanks. I've had such a good remission I'm hyper alert to changes in my health, but no one wants to be calling them too much. Good luck with your treatment!

I understand, I'm overly alert too. For some reason, I thought that when they said "remission", all the side effects would miraculously disappear! Not so! Good luck to you too.

Hi Jane. Definitely get an appointment sooner to be on the safe side and to put your mind at ease. All the best. Praying!

Drenching night sweats, swollen lymph nodes, unexplained weight loss, fever, and whole body itching are classic signs of lymphoma and progression. Recommend a visit to your hematologist/oncologist ASAP.

My husband is in his third cycle of BR and has been having drenching night sweats for past few days. Is it normal to have them while treatment is still ongoing? He is in cycle 3 day 18.

Sure it's normal. Night sweats are a common symptom even before treatment.
