Hi, I was told that I had NP, but I was doubtful, went to a Kinesiologist and she told me that the tablets that I was taking for my acid reflux was the prob...she was right. However, what I used for my itch was Eurax..very effective. Good luck.

Hi, I can't live without Double Base cream - I find it really soothing and plaster it on 5/6 times a day when my skin is really playing up. I also put on betnovate/dermovate (steroid cream) on the actual nodules occasionally then smooth over the double base. I also can't live without antihistamines - I have Fexofenadine which are prescription only and find these very good to help with the itch. I was also prescribed 50/50 as an alterntaive to double base. 50/50 is like a vaseline but I found it too greasy and it just wanted me to scratch more so I stick to double base.

Hope this helps.

Hi. Ayrton's pink antiseptic cream, one of few creams and so far the best for both reducing the itch and healing the sores as well. On really bad days dab on some sulphur powder before or after Ayrton's, just a light dusting of sulphur, will help. My rash hasn't gone after 14 months but it is slowly improving, time i spend itching reduced and also the sores are not as prolific as they were before getting on to Ayrton's cream. Most creams recommended to assist with eczema or psoriasis i found useless. Greasy creams only made the rash worse. Was surprised to find that Ayrton's worked cos i had already tried zinc cream and found it did not help, yet zinc is one of several ingredients in Ayrton's. Talk more soon perhaps.

unfortunately Ayrtons cream has been unavailable for over 18 months now. Just my/our luck. I would easily pay double to get hold of this cream again.

Valtrex improved my condition by 80 percent last year. I'm now trialling self prescribed brandy/milk cocktail mix. I figured that the condition might have at the root of it, an overproduction of lactic acid, or lactate, that's causing the keratin to do strange things, like form hard lumps under the skin, which due to their expansion are causing pain and itchiness, and damn well push up through the connective tissues, making it impossible to not itch. At this moment my affected areas are reduced to a couple of spots on face, and left shoulder, and a bit of a lumpy area on right arm, where a lesion is in retreat, no longer a trouble spot really.

Hi there. I've tried many many creams. They work and they stop. Right now I am having some relief with Betaderm 0.1%. (beta methadone Valerate).
