Hello I'm currently pregnant with my 4th baby boy. At the 13 week scan both kidneys were seen. Last week I had my 20 weeks scan and only 1 kidney can be found. My doctor really wasn't much help. Offered abortion but I'm not one to do that. I've asked to get a referral to a bigger specialist hospital. I'm just wondering if anyone else has gone through this? Did your bub have 2 a 13 week scan then only one? Was your bub born with one and healthy? If not what can I expect? Thank you I'm very worried.

Plenty of people have only one kidney. Most people who were born with one kidney go through life never knowing because one is plenty unless you develop kidney disease. Be good to your kidneys
