Are you on Prednisone? That is usually the culprit. I put on 5 pounds in 2nd and 3rd week when the dose was high. Now I am back to my normal weight.

Yep, me to. You should eat healthy and exercise, though it may not help the weight. My endocrinologist explained that, for me, it's a complicated combo of insulin resistance and increased cortisol production, both brought on by the anti-rejection meds (not only prednisone). One of the most frustrating side effects for me.

I gained 13 pounds from the Predinisone. I was able to lose it, but it took me almost 3 yrs. You will lose it, it just takes time.

I know it is not easy, but you need to get up and walk. You need to just do it! You will find that the more you walk the better you will feel.

I am 20 years post transplant and YES, I have gained weight - probably 25lbs. At first I blamed it on the meds, but I think now it's not having all of those diet restrictions. Enjoying life!
