Baby movements - help.

I’m 19 weeks pregnant, not felt any movement as of yet. Midwife said she thinks baby might be behind the placenta. Is there anything to worry about or is this normal? Thanks.

If this is your first baby movements can start a bit later and also if your placenta is at the front as your midwife said then this can cushion movement. I had the same and didn’t feel proper movement until around 23 weeks. Looking back I probably felt the odd flutter earlier but wouldn’t of know it was baby xx

Is this your 1st pregnancy? I am currently 25+2 with my 1st baby, I have an anterior placenta which means it’s at the front, so baby is cushioned. I felt slight flutter at around 17 weeks I think, but the last 2 weeks I can definitely feel baby moving about. Not all the time and not every day and sometimes can only be a slight kick and that’s it. When I feel a kick, I rub my belly and baby reacts by moving again. Such a lovely feeling knowing your baby is responding too you. x

I’m 34 weeks now hun and this is my baby no. 4 and didn’t feel him til 22 weeks which I considered late as I felt the rest of my children earlier but my placenta wasn’t at the front I think he was just lazy and cosy . Xx

I'm over 21 weeks and think I may have felt my first flutter today, although it could be wind. I wouldn't worry. I have friends who say they didn't feel anything until 24 weeks.

My placenta was anterior but I think it had then moved to the side.
