Thank you for this TNBA 😊 I live in a Province where there is no Private option for a second opinion - believe or not ! I'd be very keen to know if the National Hospital takes Private patients within NHS facilities? I have private insurance (Bupa) and they'll pay for a consultation, diagnostics - whatever I need along with inpatient treatment should it be necessary. They won't however pay for flights and accommodation which will be costly.

My Nuero team here are extremely good and I've had first class care ,albeit protracted, BUT I have no diagnosis and nor am I likely to (it's been 6 years) I really think its time I had an alternative MRI machine and a fresh eye reading the results - a different Neuroradiologist.

Maybe you'll know if this is worth my pursuing at this particular hospital ?

Hi Susan

Yes there are private facilities here too which are excellent.

I would have a look at qsprivatehealthcare.com/ and take it from there. They can book you an initial consultation and maybe help you further if you email referrals@qsprivatehealthcare.com.

I hope that helps & good luck!

Thank you so much I'll see what my Neuro team have to say next Wed (I suspect not a lot) and take it from there.

They've had two MDT meetings about me as a result of a dodgy MRIS scan so we'll see ?

Dead easy to stay relaxed and calm meanwhile y'know !!!
