Hi. I'm an 82 year old multiply disabled man and I've had 'essential tremors' for about 10 years - mainly a disabling L hand tremor with lesser tremors in my R hand. In the last three months I've noticed slight arm and chest tremors too. I also have terrible balance and several falls as a consequence. Also, legs and hands cramp up without warning and both hands get stone cold (never had this problem before now).

I'm wondering if this could be late onset Parkinsons. My paternal grandfather had it and I've had/have cousins with it.

I live in a rural area and my GP is not easy to get to. I also don't want to make a fuss out of nothing. What do you experts by experience think?

I think if your tremors happen when your resting it could be Parkinson's. I only shake when trying to do anything, not sure though . Have you thought of phoning the doc . Good luck
