Father’s Day

I always found it amusing growing up we had Mother’s Day but always referred to Father’s Day as Father’s Day weekend. What gives now that I am a mom how come they get a weekend. Love to all the dads out there esp mine who has been gone for over 20 years. Enjoy your weekend 🥰

It's probably because there's golf all weekend 🤣 We never called it that, and just do the one day, but this gives me an idea for next year, ty! 🎉

if it's any consolation, when i worked in restaurants we used to joke about the difference between the two. for mother's day, we opened for extra hours, brought in extra staff and tables and had a wait until we literally shut the doors. on father's day we worked with a skeleton crew and often shut early.😜

Funny: Years ago several old men were sitting around at lunch and said that last Sunday was Mother's Day. "WAIT A MINUTE." Then then a Father's Day was created.
