My son and his wife are first year residents at Vanderbilt Hospital, only 29 years old, slim, active, healthy and they both got the virus. God bless and protect our medical personnel on the front lines. Both recovered.

I agree with you. I live in New York State but I do not live in New York City. I think the rules for Rochester for example where I live should be lifted with some safety rules.

I'm hoping for some relaxing of the rules for those of us in no/low risk counties in this country. We have only 1 case in my county. We can get back to living and help the economy get fired back up. We can use all the prevention measures and conquer this invisible virus! We are America Strong!

My daughter and son in law. Live in a very rural town. Two people that had traveled came back to town with the virus. They have been completely quarantined up to the point that one passed away.

My son in law is on city council and there 1st responders have no real PPE's and can't find any too purchase. The county infection rate has increased to 22 in two weeks. So where you have 1 you'll end up with more and with your medical status you shouldn't be advocating to have restrictions lifted.

Just my personal opinion.

It may help your first responders and others if those that can make masks for them. Equipment and other items can be sanitized using a mixture of 1/3 cup bleach to one gallon of water. We wipe done our kitchen and bathroom with it. Also, I use Windex (it has ammonia in it) to wipe down other non-porous surfaces. We handle mail with rubber gloves and shred the outer envelopes. The shredded papers are put into a plastic garbage bag. I hope this virus dies down soon.

Unless someone has been able to test each and every person in your county I would take immense odds against there being only one person with the virus in your county. When you lift prevention measures too soon, over and over again we see the virus going absolutely nuts! Be careful for what you wish for. I wouldn't wish this virus to come in and attack my County because I gave it the opportunity by lifting measures to quickly no matter how much you paid me. Fancy.

My earlier comment was meant for you but got missed place. I also do live in New York State Not New York City. We do have a number of cases here in Rochester but nothing like New York City. I would like to see some rules relaxed sooner than later.

Having to go without medications because I can’t afford the co-pay, don’t know what I’m going to do.

Reach out to the MS Society and the drug manufacturers since they both have programs that might be able to help you with your medications. I've been where you are and there is help available. Please reach out for help.

Have you contacted your neurologist and explain the situation? They normally have direct links to the pharmacy reps of the companies that manufacture your therapy and usually the company will offer some type of reduce co-pay or zero co-pay on expensive medications. It's worth a shot. If not the doctor's office might be able to give you some nonprofit organizations to contact that might help you with the co-pay expense. It is worth a shot. Fancy.

My husband is a front line worker, so while we are well right now, covid is unavoidable. Not much has changed for us so far.

I hope this country in the future will make its own medications and stop relying on places like China. China is not our friend has never been our friend and now I hope that we can quickly make some changes to stop being so dependent on other countries.

johnMSAA I am blessed in many ways! This site is always great to read along with others. My Neuro called me and told me to self quarantine weeks before our governor made the declaration to stay indoors. My husband has been doing all of the shopping and most of the cooking. I made masks for us both. He wears his into stores, uses wipes to wipe down the cart, save a few wipes and when he gets to the car, he wipes down his hands again and all of the purchases. He even gave up his twice weekly golf game weeks before the courses were all closed. I had a video conference call with my Neuro yesterday that went very well. I hope everyone else is doing well and staying safe!

Thank you for sharing how you are fairing during all of this, CalfeeChick . Glad you've been able to use telemedicine opportunities as well with your neuro.

My family and I are very fortunate that we are all well and have not lost income or having issues with gaining the basic necessities we need.. My biggest concern is the health of My Three Sons and daughter with her husband and children. I worry and have anxiety issues about them and their health and safety. Funny but I don't worry over months about my own health even though it's the most compromised of the family. Hope everyone else is doing well and keep in mind that even if we are alone we are not alone we are alone together! When you become one way or depressed or anxious get on the phone or get on Facebook or get in the chat room and talk to people who care about you and it was certainly help to brighten your mood and to bring things into perspective. Take Care One in all because you are important you are loved by many and you are never truly alone. We are alone together! Fancy.

Had a neurology appointment on zoom. It went very well and it was kind of fun to do: I did not have to dress up or get my car out. Have not driven in quite some time. Have not been out of the house except for my MRI last week and one grocery store visit with my husband. I have been off MS medication for one year now with agreement from my neurologist. My last two MRIs have shown no lesions. I was on medication for 12 years and now I am 72 with no progression over 15 years. I don’t mind staying home but I’m tired of all this.I’m rather unmotivated to do much other than watch TV and spend hours reading through my emails and texting.

Finding it very hard to deal with MS (2000) and recurrence of severe clinical depression .
