Twin sister and I both diagnosed with MS.
My Dads sister
My mom has Hashimoto's.
I have a brother and 2 cousins. All on my Mother's side of the family.
My sister has fibro but not MS, thankfully.
The percentage chances of one's kids getting MS for kids who have a parent who has MS goes up from the normal percentage of 0.3% to 3% - still a low number (but still too high). I don't follow the numbers too closely but these numbers I last recall. FYI.
I have heard that diabetes is & then is not autoimmune disease I have diabetes type 2 an older brother has type 2. 2 younger sisters have chromes disease. we all have the same father. Sisters have different mother who was bi-polar. Father had diabetes mother had diabetes both passed with complications to diabetes. Different ages & different states.
I'm an adult only child; both my parents did not have MS nor do my adult sons.
