Hi guys, it took my wife nearly 2 years to get diagnosed. She underwent physiotherapy and other medical tests and treatments prior to having an MRI which lead to her MS diagnosis.

My very first exacerbation was blindness in my left eye. Optic neuritis. It was scary and I called the doctor immediately.

It took many years to get diagnosed. Saw many different drs. for many different symptoms-they never got all put together until I saw a neuro!

I didn't really think something different was wrong when I could not see from my right eye. I realize there were many MS symptoms long before optic neuritis beginning when I was 35 eye problem is what made me think something was up.

I found out by accident. had so many other health problems that I attributed various symptoms to I ended up being Dx’d on X-Mas eve of last year by accident. I made an appointment with a Neurologist recommended by my primary for migraines. The Neuro ordered an MRI and boom. You could have knocked me over with a feather when he told.

As mentioned above, many of my symptoms I either didn’t recognize, attributed to other maladies and/or meds or simply just wrote off. I’m having major difficulties in terms of identifying what the symptoms of MS are, what to look for and educating myself about the types treatments, expectations etc. I don’t even know what type of MS I have. I hope to resolve many of these questions this week at my migraine treatment. This is one complicated disease!
