When you say "chronic twitching and jerking" It could be many things. Describe your symptoms in more detail. Constant, intermittent?

Frequency, duration, localised or spreading? Other patterns or things you notice.

Accompanied by pains/weird sensations?

I've had all-sorts, daily, over the years. From little bits twitching in muscles, feeling popping in my thighs, an arm or a leg suddenly going, full body jerks (usually when resting / sleeping) as well as 'restless leg syndrome' where my legs can't/won't stay still - I've always been a fidget. All I would put under the umbrella of my symptoms of fibromyalgia.

I believe movement is good for the body/our health, and (if no neurological or nutritional deficits etc are present) that these unintentional movements are the body trying to help itself by having a stretch, kicking off a bit of tension in the legs, freeing an arm a little, ... moving us to release a little stiffness.
