In fact it it seems to have become the norm as I can't remember a time I didn't have a headache upon waking. Doesn't matter how much or little sleep I've had, the amount of fluids I've consumed.
It seems perfectly normal to me, that one of the first things I did in the morning I'd take paracetamol!
What I would like to know ...... Is this a fibro thing????
Does anyone else suffer the same thing?

I have chronic migraines but they proceeded my fibromyalgia. One thing you should be aware of is that is you have a tendency for headaches you should be careful how many pain killers you take as they can cause a thing called "medication overuse headache". With migraineurs at least painkillers when taken too often overstimulate the pain pathways and cause more headaches. I am only allowed painkillers on 8 days a month for this reason.
Maybe you should talk to your GP about it? You may have to have what they call a " medication holiday" (awful name!) Where you suspend use of all painkillers for a month or two, your headaches may get worse at first and then they start to improve. Depends how much they impact your life really, but I'd talk to the GP all the same.
What kind of headache? Whereabouts? Localised/diffuse/varied. What sort of pain/sensations? thumping, aching, stabbing tight bands, etc. Worse on movements? Any neck pain, stiffness?
