Hi all, I came back from holiday to a letter asking me to attend a medical no where near where I stay, even though I put on the form for a home visit. I am going to phone them today but have to admit I am dreading it, what do they ask you and do they ask you to do anything?
PIP assessment.: Hi all, I came back from... - My Fibro Community
PIP assessment.
Hi,please don't worry,i have had mine and i can tell you now that it was one guy who did my assessment. He was very nice, polite and respectfull. They will go through the form that you filled in with you.Just answer the questions as it was your worse day. They will ask you how you cope with mobility and how you manage tasks.
Answer the questions as if it is on your very worst days.Be very precise about your disabilities, dont say sometimes i can and sometimes i can't,remember the answer is no you can't.Also you will be ask to do some physical tasks.Don't push yourself if you find it in the least bit painful. If you suffer with fibro fog, don't try to hide it or be embarrassed mixing up your words or forgetting what you were going to say.
You will be fine, just remember to them you look fine but they don't see you when you are in pain or struggling to walk, stand,or do tasks that others can do easily.Make them see that you are not coping with your disabilities.
All the best of luck.x
How did it go?those meetings make me anxious for months beforehand.
