Have you been prescribed this recently? I have tried all sorts of medicines and Duloxetine is one of them ! It is licenced in the UK to treat migraine. It is helpful if you get headache due to stress and hypertension etc. I found it better than Topiramate but has not made significant difference tbh. It has quite a few unpleasant side effects (as always) - but these will settle after 4 / 5 weeks. Some people have found it very useful, everyone is different.

Thank you. I would like to give it a go but as you say the side effects aren't great.

Yes, please give it a go, it is a good medicine for prophylaxis and wish you good luck !

One of the side effects - For the first few weeks, you will find difficulties to pee - but these things will ease out. This medicine is primarily used for elderly people who cannot control their bladder.

TBH, if it stops migraine or reduce frequency, I can leave with those side effects as I would do anything to be migraine free !!

Im on it for trigeminal neuralgia it has worked great for my nerve pain, and havent really noticed any bad side effects
