Yesterday I was diagnosed with 'Migraine with Brainstem Aura'.
I am 60 in a few days and suffered from Menstrual Migraine, without aura, in my 20s and 30s, but nothing like this. I'd been referred to a Stroke Specialist because of the severity of my symptoms!
I am to commence lamotrigine shortly and would appreciate anyone sharing their experiences with the regime, efficacy, side effects, how long it takes before benefits are felt etc.
Thank you.

You didn't read my post properly! I haven't had menstrual migraine in 30 years - that boat has long sailed!!!
I have migraine with brainstem aura and am just commencing lamotrigine. It's that particular medication I'm asking about.
As for cannabis oil - I think I need to wait and see what effect the lamotrigine has, don't you? Otherwise, I wouldn't know what was working and what wasn't.
