You are quite entitled to ask for another appointment with the doctor to discuss any questions you have, either in person or by phone. I've found that if you go for tests at a hospital they will sometimes tell you the results and just say not to worry. But that it doesn't sort out the problem - in your case, the headaches.

So either phone the doctor again to get things clarified, or make an appointment with your GP.
