What do you do to combat feeling low?
Here is some of the Men's Health Forum articles on how to look after your head and relationships
I tend to go down the exercise route. I've always been active so it's a default behaviour, but equally it gives me a bit of time and space, deflects my thinking from other things, increases oxygen intake, releases endorphins and generally leads me to eat a healthily anyway.
Exercising outdoors in the park also brings fresh air, space and helps me build a connection to my local area.
Looking forward to hearing your approaches.
It is interesting to see people's responses. Could sleep be symptomatic of low mood as well as a means of coping with it?
This is an interesting video from Dr Mike Evans in Canada on the positive impact of physical activity:

Dr Evans gives a clear and concise, evidence-based presentation of how physical activity can have an un-bundling effect on poor health outcomes.
I don't really call it exercise, not going fast enough for that, but I find a nice ride out cycling really can clear the depression for a while. The actual getting out of the door is a really high hurdle but, once I am out and moving, things can get a lot better. Try it, a cheap 2nd hand bike and some lights is all you need. Low outlay to try it and, if it's not for you, sell the bike on.
I either sleep or listen to music.
I Do some Physical Exercise and Also do some Horse Riding. It's feel me good and provide lots of inner joy.
