Yes. It has affected my ability to do sport. Swimming and fencing. The latter as my balance is so bad. Swimming is improving but very slolwly. Deafness has been a bit of a problem. More for other people I think.

I now have a hearing problems in one ear. Thankfully it doesn't affect my balance but I can't stand loud piercing noise. My eustachion tube (between my ears and my throat) contracts on its own and I feel a fluttering that I can't do anything about. A bit like fluttering eyelids! My high frequency hearing is also affected in that same ear.

I had aseptic meningitis 4 times due to a leaky tumor. That was in 2008. I have had a headache everyday since then. I had the tumor removed last year and now the headache is worse.

When I first got sick I had to quite my job. And I can honestly say my "career" has never recovered but then neither has the US economy (I live in New Orleans)
