My sister in law is 55,she has downs syndrome and dementia. She lives in a shared house, fully looked after. She regularly sees both parents,in their 90s. Due to her wishing to 'care for others in house they are being moved out as she may harm them. Her outgoings / expenses will now triple. Do family have to find the additional cost?Father is stubborn and refuses advice but aware rest of family need to get more involved.

I would definitely say no family are not responsible. She has her own benefits and will be paying something towards her care, I presume. I would think she will be reassessed and the local authority will have to find the extra needed. Speak to her social worker or someone in charge who supports her to address your concerns and get confirmation regarding the changes.
