Hi everything changes when they become an adult I would strongly advise you to apply for a deputyship for property and finance and health and well-being on line on the gov.U.K. Website if your daughter lacks mental capacity.

I forgot to say because it’s for your daughter you could use her monies to pay for this from my understanding but please do ask to confirm.

Hi, sorry to hear that you have encountered these problems.

My daughter is non verbal and over 18. I had to apply to the Court of Protection for a Deputyship Order to speak on her behalf. This was supposed with a mental capacity assessment from her doctor to prove that she lacked capacity to handle her own affairs.

My son is 23. I act for him for benefits and all health matters . I sign all paperwork etc on his behalf. I don’t have deputyship. I just explain the situation to them and they speak to me. I’ve never had an issue.

Also if she has no money other than benefits you do not need Deputyship for finances.
