My daughter is 20 and has Down Syndrome, I am looking for somewhere near me in Hertfordshire that she could help out or do some work experience especially with animals, any suggestions would be great thanks!

Speak to your local community voluntary services and or your local council advice point. Also mencap helpline might be able to help And the job centre as they should have a disability worker there who maybe able to suggest something.

Have you asked the Down’s syndrome Association? They have an amazing scheme called Workfit which finds work experience and paid work for people with DS. They will probably have contacts in your area and will be able to advise you on who to ask. Good luck.
