hi Madmax151 depending on which bit of the country you are from (if you are from england that is) there are a couple of agencies that are well worth a look at with your son.

if you are in the upper part of the country (i think theyre above birmingham way) there is 'luv2meetu' which is a friend ship and dating agency for adults with learning disability and/or autism: hft.org.uk/our-services/emp...

then there is stars in the sky which famusly made its name on the channel 4 tv show 'the undateables' :ourway.org.uk/our-way-proje...

they only talk about kidiminsiter on that page but i know it works in different areas,it might be a case of ringing round to find out the one closest to you both.

i dont know if theyre still operating as the last series of the undateables didnt feature any matchups from them-unless theyve changed the name.

i was wanting a friend,as i have no friends.

my support staff have contacted luv2meetu for me before,but they got sent a load of forms which are aimed more at independantly writing adults with LD and/or ASD- the forms are very behind the times and unclear like asking if you want someone without tatoos, i never understood why that shoud matter.

and if the individual with LD and/or autism was LGBTQ+ like myself you woudnt fit in any of the sections my staff didnt know what to do so it never got sent off,the forms may have changed since i tried to acess them though,hopefuly theyre more open minded and less unclear.

for anyone wanting a friend or relationship,its worth a try as i think they are the biggest dating and friendship agency for LD in the country.
