It has been a full year since we started the first lockdown in England.

This has been such a difficult time for so many people. I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to read and post on this online community.

By sharing your posts, questions and dilemmas you have helped others who are in a similar situation. It can be reassuring to know you are not the only person facing something, or to hear what other people have done.

You make this online community a safe place to let off steam and ask questions about learning disability.

Today (23 March 2021) is a National Day Of Reflection, we are pausing to remember everyone who has died during the pandemic. I am very sorry if this has directly affected you.

If you are grieving for someone, Mencap have Easy Read information that might help, and a free GriefChat service, on our website here: mencap.org.uk/advice-and-su...

You can also find more about coronavirus here - mencap.org.uk/advice-and-su..., and the vaccine here - mencap.org.uk/coronavirus/c...

Best wishes

Sarah
