Vaccine appointment cancelled!? my daughter is 42 has sld, epilepsy, autism, challenging behaviour and was given an appointment for this week living in supported living where none of the staff want to have vaccine. Already three times they have brought in the virus. Now received a text saying it has been cancelled...being done at local GP hub and cannot get through to anyone to find out why. Any suggestions please? Why should people with ld be treated this way. I'm so frustrated for her

Oh no. Getting through to GPs can be difficult at the moment, particularly on a Monday morning. Have you been able to speak to someone about this yet?

To update..the saga continues..although I checked a couple of weeks ago with GP who confirmed she was was on clinically vulnerable list, apparently she wasn't. That was why it was cancelled. Staff at her supported living are trying to get through to GP to get them to correct this and then she can get appointment. This shows that it only takes someone pressing the wrong button that can cause such extra worries for people with learning disabilities.

Thank you so much for updating us about this. I wonder how many other people are in the same situation? It is so easy for people to miss out.

Fingers crossed this gets sorted asap.
