Never thought I'd get it, but...

... I did.

The charity Langdon needed a volunteer photographer. Photography is my hobby so I thought it would be nice to combine it with volunteering. I attended an interview and was told I was successful. I phoned my wife imediately, I was so excited.

"Darling", she said, "how many other people do you think applied?" Of course, my wife knew, none. She brings me down to earth every time!

I have enjoyed several years of volunteering, it is so rewarding, everyone should at least give it a try.

Hello Hidden

That is awesome news. Congratulations. How wonderful to being able to volunteer doing something you already like doing. Also a great way to get some more experience.

Have a great time.

Cheers

in reply tosedleywilson

I take photographs mainly for a charity called Langdon and of my family and friends.

Hiya!

Thanks for sharing this story. I definitely agree that volunteering can be a great, rewarding experience (though I am, admittedly, quite biased on the subject). I'm really glad you've had such a good time and are putting those photography skills to use in such a positive way!
