Hi sedleywilson, things are improving re consideration for those with Autism whilst shopping and using other public areas but it will take time. My son uses noise reducing headphones whenever we go into noisy public areas,have you tried them and if so do you find they help you?

disabiliy pround i n croydon i n the summer there are a re pub & resturant who do not part of thisof the bouldering of places i user but now i won't go into there places

There are trials being done by NHS England for video consultations which may benefit those with ASD, obviously this will not be possible if physical examination is required. I am fortunate to be involved as a patient representative of our GP surgery and they are very proactive in supporting both LD and ASD.
