Hi everyone,

At Mencap we are looking for volunteers with a learning disability, and their families and carers to join our team of Volunteer Policy Shapers.

We want to make sure that those making decisions on laws and policies understand people's lived experiences; people with a learning disability, their families and carers. By being a Mencap Policy Shaper, you can make a big difference and help us to make sure that your voices are heard.

Once you become a Policy Shaper there are no set days and time you will volunteer, we will contact you about 3 -4 times a year to ask you some questions about your experiences with things like benefits, social care or getting a support worker.

If you're interested, visit our website to apply online or print out an application form.

Thanks,

Kath
