My son can manage to get jogging bottoms on and off but most have drawstrings. He cannot manage fiddly buttons clips belts or zips because of coordination with fingers.I am looking for a jean like trousers with elasticated waist and no zips etc so that when he toilets he can pull down and up without having to undo.Jogging bottoms lend themselves to that but sometimes the quality is so cheap especially buying on-line that I wanted to get something more in fashion eg jeans. I have found some on Witt International website but can anyone recommend others please?

Hello. We have found that M+S had some jeans that were elasticated. They were a bit tight though. Also found some good trousers in Boyes - fully elasticated but still looked ok,
I haven't used them yet but this one looks good - izadaptive.com/collections/...
I know what you mean about the jogging bottoms, my son only wears those and shorts. They're easier for him to pull up and down but don't always look that great. We have tried elasticated jeans before (from Matalan) but he doesn't really like them. I think it's because the material is thicker. It looks like Sports Direct sell similar ones though so might be worth a look.
Hi. We have the same problem with our 22 year old son. We get jogger style jeans from Sports Direct. They have button flies but are elasticated, so we just leave them buttoned up. I think the brand is No Fear. They also do shorts in the same style. For smarter trousers for school we used to buy plain black elasticated trousers from a catering clothing supplier.
What a good idea with the catering trousers. Do they actually look like trousers though?
Although my son is no longer at school (he used to wear black jogging bottoms) if we go out somewhere and he needs to dress smartly he wears normal trousers. The problem is he has to wear a belt and needs helping undoing them so it's not allowing him to be independent.
Yes, they look smart. Here's a link to the type we used to buy.

Our son is quite large so the baggy fit suited him.
With regard to belts we used to buy Easybelts from Easybelt.co.uk. They are stretchy belts with a velcro fastening.

Hi all -
I'm a wheelchair user and always stock up if I find elasticated smart trousers - they go in and out of fashion (sadly usually out)! Think it's a bit easier to find alternatives for the ladies though.
There are some companies which sell 'accessible clothing' - such as able2wear.co.uk and careclothing.co.uk - prices vary quite a bit, and I've not used them personally, but worth a try. I must say it's rare I regret spending more on products actually designed for my needs - but it does happen from time to time!
Also don't forget to have a look for elasticated belts! They can be a lifesaver!
Good luck
Sarah
Hi Charlie, I’ve bought elastic waisted joggers, and jeans for my son (no zips or buttons) online from JD Williams which have been really good value and quality and come in a variety of sizes. Chums also sell similar but I haven’t tried those. Also try Amazon where you’ll find other outlets. Good luck with your search.
