I've just completed a course in Makaton, this is such a good thing to learn.

Hi Kagz 👋🏻

I’m learning it too! I agree it’s such a great communication tool. I also look to YouTube for the correct movements. My favourite at the moment is Makaton with Lucinder. A mother and her young daughter who show us ‘sign of the day’.

Are you learning it for yourself, or for a sibling, or school?

Thanks for sharing the alphabet, I’m going to save that for future reference

Best wishes

I Learn this because one of my clients I work with is non Verbal & she loves the fact I can communicate with her,my teacher was Learning us through this book which you can purchase on Amazon

What a lucky lady she is to have you. A gesture like this makes the world of difference I believe. My son is non verbal. He is 15 years old. We do some PECS but after a recent trip to our GP it was obvious he needed a more immediate form of communication.

Thank you for the book info. I shall purchase it today!

Best wishes

I have just signed up to receive the sign of the week via makaton.org and I noticed the lovely lady and her daughter Lucinder are featured. A great site indeed.
