Hi, that article should be obligatory for every GP to read...and all the specialists who really don't comprehend the reality of this condition. Not that 'condition' is suitable to describe the life limiting hell of treatment resistant MDD. I'm so glad to read your experimental treatment has given you your life back. And that same treatment will become available to more patients, thanks to your experience and article, hopefully.
Thank you. I am angry the stigma exists. The current stop the stigma campaigns will never work because people don’t understand the disease. My goal is to make people feel uncomfortable so that they can understand the realities of the hell millions of us deal with that we certainly didn’t ask for. While I am angry I also have hope there can be change. One of the most stigmatized diseases in the 60s and 70s was cancer. That is certainly not the case anymore which is great.
I have the same experience as you. I tried to run away from the disease...now Im 64 and theres no place left to run. My family has screamed things like, No Body want to hear this sh_t and be positive...IT DONT WORK!!!!!I wanna get it over with already.
What an amazing article! You are so courageous to have shared. Thank you for sharing the article here. I am so glad you found a treatment that works for you.
