When the exciting time comes to pack your hospital bag you know you’re coming to the end of your pregnancy and your little bundle of joy will finally be here soon.

But what do you need to pack? Some people pack everything but the kitchen sink just because that makes them happy but let’s talk essentials.

Here’s a few of my ideas:

Baby’s bag:

Nappies

Wipes

Milk/bottles

Blanket

Baby grows x 4

Vets x 4

Mittens

hat

Coat

Going home outfit

Dummies

Comforter

Muslins

Mums bag:

Food

Drinks

T-shirt/nighties x 3

Underwear (big and comfy)

Comfy clothes x 2

Breast pads

Book

Flip flops

Slippers

Dressing gown

Large sanitary towels

Wash bag

Phone charger

Camera

And we mustn’t forget Dad! He’s just as important as anyone and when it comes to having baby you just don’t know how long you’ll be in there so make sure dad has his items too:

Wash bag

Change of clothes

Food

Phone charger

Camera

Book

Is there anything I forgot? What extras did you pack? Comment below and let us know

Hi Tanyajade,

This is a great list!

I will be welcoming a new baby soon (in about 3 months time) and it's really great to have as many ideas as to what to put inside my hospital bag - gives me peace of mind knowing I have everything covered for me and my baby.

And I thought I'd also share this checklist that I found while I'm doing my own research, might be helpful for mums and mums-to-be :)
