My husband was diagnosed about 9 months ago and is still in denial this makes life hard. Is this normal

Yes, it's quite normal until he comes to the point of acceptance. There will come a time for him that he just can't deny the obvious anymore. Everyone's progression, tolerance and acceptance is different. There are a lot of reasons for it-- some more deeply hidden than others.

Thanks for the reasurance it often feels really lonely trying to figure things out alone.

It's a journey-- one we didn't book-- but can't disembark just yet. The scenery always changes and we all see it differently. Enjoy the ride as best you can. Cheers

I don't think people will like to there those word, my dad's 94 and the same he lives with me. I don't think people won't to believe it and who wants to hear you've just said that or I said that just now to you. It's that going down hill and people don't know how to deal with it. Take care.
